Day 28: How do you dress for kink/BDSM play? What significance does your attire have to you?
In private play, most of the time both of us are generally naked (apart from the various ropes and such of course).
For workshops it’s more about comfort and practicality to do rope.
For bigger kink events, I often have a particular matrix style latex jacket that seems fitting. This normally stays on until my first scene (as it gets in the way of mobility during the scene), and then doesn’t go back on again for the rest of the night.
Underneath the matrix jacket is normally a black t-shirt, black jeans, and black shoes (to work with the dress code, and not to look too out of place).
For me, I want to be comfortable when I play. Of course I also want to look smart, clean, with flattering clothes, etc. but for me I don’t have a particular costume that help me get into the role of what I enjoy doing. I can do this just as happily naked as I can with anything else.
On others, the attire they were is mainly a frame to me, of who they are and how they move.
Particular clothing can help highlight elements of their personality, emphasise their favourite features about themselves, and encourage confidence in themselves. Someone who feels sexy, will look sexy.
Some of the most beautiful moments I’ve ever seen people though, had very little to do with what they were wearing in terms of clothes.
To me, they were at their most attractive, in a moment when it seemed everything about their life to that time, including how they were feeling right then and there, were presented to me through their particular smile and body language, especially when they didn’t even realise anyone was looking.
So in terms of attire, a natural sexy smile is the hottest thing anyone can wear.
